What is ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidenced-based therapy that helps children and teens build meaningful skills such as communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, independence, and daily living skills. ABA focuses on understanding behavior and teaching skills in a positive, individualized way that supports long-term success.

Who do we serve?
We provide ABA therapy for children and adolescents with autism and related developmental needs. Each program is individualized based on your child’s strengths, needs, and family goals.

Where do services take place?
Horizon ABA provides services in both the home and center settings. We work out of the Eliza Hope Therapy Center. The setting is based on clinical need, family preference, and insurance authorization.

What insurances do we accept?

- We are working on expanding the insurances accepted to serve more families.

What does an ABA session look like?
Sessions are structured yet engaging. Therapy often looks like:
- Play-based learning
- Natural routines and activities
- Skill building embedded into daily life
- Positive reinforcement and encouragement
Sessions are designed to be motivating, supportive, and respectful to the child

Who will work with my child?
Your child’s program is supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Direct therapy is typically provided by a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) under BCBA supervision. The BCBA regularly reviews data, adjusts goals, and collaborates with families.

How are goals chosen?
Goals are based on:
- Initial assessments
- Parent and caregiver input
- Developmental and functional needs
- Ongoing data collection
Goals focus on increasing independence, communication, and quality of life-not just reducing behaviors.

How many hours of ABA will my child receive?
The numbers of therapy hours varies by child and is determined by clinical recommendations and insurance authorization. Hours are reviewed regularly and adjusted if progress is made.

How long will my child need ABA therapy?
ABA is not a one-size-fits-all or lifetime requirement. Length of services depends on progress, goals, and individual needs. Many children transition out of ABA or reduce hours as skills increase.

How do you measure progress?
Progress is monitored through ongoing data collection and regular BCBA review. Families recieve updates and p;anticipate in progress reviews to ensure goals remain meaningful and appropriate.

Do parents participate in therapy?
Yes, Parent and caregiver involvement is an important part of treatment. We provide parent training and collaboration to help families support skill development across daily routines.

How to you address challenging behaviors?
We focus on understanding why behaviors occur and teaching safe, functional alternatives. Strategies are individualized, proactive, and based on positive behaivor support-not punishment.

Do you use play-based or natural approaches?
Yes. Therapy is designed to be engaging, child-centered, and developmentally appropriate. Play and natural learning opportunities are incorporated whenever possible.

Is there a waitlist?
Availability varies. We encourage families to complete an intake form as soon as possible so we can discuss current opening and next steps.
